Throughout her career, Renée has been marked by a focus on Gaming Law, including Equine Law, Indian Gaming Law, and Sports, Racing, and Wagering Law, with a particular interest in Legislation. Renée has represented horsemen’s associations and individual horsemen across various equine and racing jurisdictions, including California, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota, New Jersey, Virginia, and Ohio. Her expertise in legislation and gaming law, including as a subject matter lobbyist, has made her a sought-after legal professional and advisor in the industry.
Over nine years Renée played a pivotal role in advancing the interests of harness racing in her home state of Ohio. Her leadership contributed to significant growth in the industry, including a 327% increase in handle at Caesars Scioto Downs since 2013 and a 524% increase at Miami Valley Gaming (ustrotting.com). She has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the growth and integrity of horse racing representing various individual, state, and national interests. Her career encompasses legal practice, industry leadership, and unwavering and significant contributions to the growth and integrity of horse racing.

Licensed to practice law in Nevada, Ohio, Utah, and before the United States Supreme Court, Renée has earned distinguished roles, including Vice Chairman of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Gaming, Racing, Liquor, Cannabis, and Lottery Committee, and member of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Agricultural Advancement Board. She has served on the North American racehorse rescuing and rehoming accrediting body the Standardbred Transition Alliance for four years most recently as the Vice President and Treasurer. She has also served as a mediator and hearing officer for the Nevada Supreme Court and the City of Henderson, Nevada.
